A Newlywed New Years Resolution Check in.

Sorry to get all Fergalicious on ya...but this year,
one of our New Years resolutions
was to work on our fitness.

(Now you're totally singing that song in your head.  Hahaha!)

Sorry.

Anyway,
yesterday was our 30 Day anniversary with TurboFire!
Did we miss a few days?  Sure.
Did we give 110% on the days we did workout?  Absolutely.

Out of the 30 days, there were 4 rest days.
Meaning, there were only 26 days of work outs.
We completed 20 of the days.

3 days we didn't do because we both had nasty colds.
& 3 days we didn't do because of recovering from all the snow shoveling.

Now enough with the excuses and on to the results.

Scott lost 6 pounds!
He is so happy!  I am also very happy for him.

How much did I lose, you ask?
Zero.

Z-E-R-O.

We both weighed ourselves first thing yesterday morning before breakfast.
It was a little disappointing.  But, I do know that muscle weighs more than fat.
I was ready to be measured and was crossing my fingers for good results.

When we measured ourselves...

Scott lost 2 inches from his stomach area,
& 2 inches from his waist!
He even gained an inch in his upper arms!!
He was so psyched!

As for me?

I lost TWO INCHES from my bust. (That's fine... there is plenty to go around!)
I lost THREE INCHES in my stomach area!
AND... THREE INCHES FROM MY WAIST!!!

Can I get an AMEN?

Hard work pays off!!! Here's to 60 more days of Turbo Fire!!!

Loving it!!!

  2. Congrats! That's awesome news! I always get bummed when I step on the scale after working out like a madman and not seeing much of a difference. But my clothes fit differently, so that's how I know progress is being made.

  3. CONGRATS LADY LOVE!!! I know it sometimes sucks looking at the scale, but as long as YOU notice a difference, that's all that counts :) There's that pinterest thing going around....I think it's something like, so many weeks for your body to start feeling a difference, so many weeks til you see a difference, and so many weeks til everyone else sees a difference. That definitely gives me a perspective sometimes :) So proud of you girl!!!

That old nasty scale! It's helpful, sometimes. But more often, it's not! lol
Glad that you are seeing results. And as you said yourself, you are actually seeing and feeling results, the scale can't take that away! ;)
    Keep it up!

  11. Congrats on losing the inches!!! You are getting strong! I do know that it's harder for women to lose weight than men. We have to work out longer for some reason.

  12. Just now seeing this post, but wanted to say KEEP UP ALL THE HARD WORK :) I know it can be really discouraging to get on the scale. I would encourage you to occasionally "skip the scale" and just do measurements. The scale can be SO misleading and lead you to believe you have made no progress when in reality you have made TONS! If you ever need some encouragement, just reach out to your "blogging friends." You have a team of cheerleaders!
